My first car was a Morris Mini, I was 15 at the time and sadly, it was stolen and has never been recovered, many years ago I had an ambition of buying another one and falling in love with a car all over again, sadly the mini market now is very pricy, some rolling shells are upwards of £3000! Then a couple years ago epilepsy struck me out of nowhere costing me my then career, many falls and bumps later I've ended up with spinal damage, I've recovered enough to get back into work and I've restarted my ambition of one day owning another mini and just enjoying my passion for tinkering and that feeling of loving a car again, in all the years one thing has kept this small dreama alive and its the car community, Edd China especially has helped keep my ambitions going because he seems so passionate about his work with cars and engineering in general, overcoming problems and getting hands dirty on passion projects. Anyone who's read this far I hope you are living your passions. God bless all.

My first car was a ‘84 GTI. I loved that car like any kid loves his first car but getting rid of it was the best thing I ever did. It blew something like 4 or 5 CV joints over three years of ownership. I didn’t baby it but didn’t exactly beat on it either. Guessing it must’ve been in an undisclosed accident or something that kept things out of alignment causing premature failure. Sad bc everyone loves these, but I learned to hate mine.

Ive missed seeing Edd work on cars more than I realised... need more of this show!

Living in Ohio has its ups and downs, but I love the vehicle laws. No safety inspection, no emission inspections, and your registration is done without anyone actually looking at your car. Basically, you can drive around like Mad Max in just about anything,. You can also buy a shotgun at the grocery store, which is a bit odd.

We had a polo mark 2 1987 and I remember the dials well. Uncle had a mark 1 GTi and I remember the first time I travelled in it. Wow did that shift and handle. It was fun. I like the dials. Would take them over my current mark 7s any day! The mark 7s dials are nice and clear enough but I love the way the needles wizz round on those mark 1 ones. Probably because the top speed on it is like 120 or less. So 70 is a long way round. That alone makes it feel like you're accelerating quicker than you are!

Much better viewing minus that weird midget fellow. If terrestrial tv is not interested he'd do well with RUclips. Always enjoyed his approach to fettling an old banger up

Really bummed they didn't show the final steps of the headliner. I want to tackle that but it appears that the gluing and stretching are harder parts! Still awesome though.
